Early this year, we were named the most social media friendly nursing school in the U.S. I can’t claim credit for this one either -- it comes down again and again to the quality of our community and our leaderships’ investment in new media and awareness of what’s going on. On the back end, we have built up a strong system for faculty and students to send the marketing department their accomplishments, media hits, and speaking appearances, and I get those up on social media. Our posts are a mix of awards, accomplishments and media hits, our awareness features, blog posts, curated, relevant articles, and program promotion. Criteria for “social media friendliness” is our presence on social media platforms, frequency of posting, and responsiveness online.
